All of our Jacquard runners have a Teflon protection. The cotton fiber is coated with a film of Teflon before the fabric is woven. The feel of cotton remain, and the fabric is protected, becoming stain resistant. If you drop wine on a  Jacquard tablecloth you be surprise to see that the drop will bead.  Just remove by dabbing with a paper towel.
