The Klaus factory is located in Morteau in the Jura Mountain of the Franche-Comté; just North of the French Alpes by the Swiss French border. The location was chosen for the quality of the local milk and butter produced in the region. Some of the best and richest cheeses are manufactured in the area like the Mont D’or, Le Vacherin, and Comté. All confections are made to the standards that Klaus was founded on and continue to embody distinctive quality candies.
The richness of the Jura Region comes from the fresh local milk and
butter. The Klaus factory still uses copper boilers to maintain the
original characteristics and flavor developed by Mr. Klaus.
